Now that we have our milestone goals for the Jefferson Success Pathway, the Collaborative Action Teams are beginning their work to align programs and strategies to these goals.

We have four Collaborative Action Teams focused on different milestone goals so that actions can be targeted to specific age groups. These teams are made up of teachers, program providers and community stakeholders that work with the specific age groups.

  • Kindergarten Readiness

Partners: Nurse-Family Partnerships, Lakewood Head Start, Jeffco Parent-Child Home program, Jeffco Schools PreK, Jeffco Library, Renaissance Center and Great Work Montessori

Focus:  Increasing the enrollment in early childhood programs in the Jefferson Area and bridging the gap between PreK and kindergarten.

  • K-12 Success

Partners: Jeffco Schools teachers, Jeffco Schools Foundation, Jeffco 4-H, Open World Learning, 21st Century Community Learning Centers and Jefferson Unitarian

Focus: Aligning program supports to increase 3rd grade reading proficiency

  • College and Career

Partners: Jeffco Schools, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Mountair Christian Church, American Job Center, Red Rocks Community College, Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and City Council members from City of Edgewater and City of Lakewood

Focus: Aligning program supports to increase high school graduation rates at Jefferson High School

  • Family Health (in development)

Partners: Jeffco Schools, Jeffco Human Services, Jeffco Public Health, WIC, Metro Community Provider Network (MCPN) and Jefferson Center for Mental Health

Focus: Brainstorming how to best provide a variety of empowering resources for families in our area
